I had picked up some 7 watt LED chips and power supplies cheap. 24 volt so I can use them on my solar setup direct. I was tinkering and debating what to use as a globe/diffuser when I happened to pick up a canning jar ring one of the cats got a hold of and was batting around he floor. It is a perfect fit for the heat sink! These put out about the equivalent of a 40 watt bulb so plenty for emergency lighting. I just need to make a bracket with a switch and tidy up the wiring...
