My family just bought a new house and I have to do some renovations to our old home before I can put it on the market. And I am carrying 2 mortgages and just scraping by but, we knew what we where getting into financially when we entered this but the air conditioning went out of the old home that caused an unexpected cost but didn't sink us just not what I was planning on and I just started demoing the kitchen and bathroom to get that project moving forward then tonight on my way to work my wife calls and I had a broken pipe in the new house so I ran home tore the basement ceiling out and got the pipe fixed but I am going to have some sheet rock damage to repair. I'm kind of burning at both ends right now putting in over time at work, trying to renovate our old house and play daddy day care while kids are out of school. I just want to get drunk rite now. I could use some strength to keep me calm and focused and keep moving forward. Thank you all.

I said a prayer for you, Mica. It sounds very stressful. Remember, you can only do what you can do--take one day at a time.

There's some other things going in rite now too, I've had some anxiety problems for the last several years and lately with stress and being tired it is really bad I go from 0 to anger like a light switch and start yelling, it got bad enough 2 weeks ago I tried to get into a behavioral health specialist and no one in the area is taking new patients. I used to drink alot and quit that about 4 years ago and rarely drink any more, I quit smoking in 2011 but have started chewing at work to keep my anxiety in check but I've been hiding it from my wife.

You sound stressed out and tired. Once you get things to quit leaking you should (as best as you're able) take a couple of days off, just kick back and get some rest. You're burning the candle at both ends.

Mica, Hang in there brother. I feel your pain. Try not to let this overwhelm you. Take things one task, one step at a time. Be careful to not push so hard. Don't be afraid to ask for help (family, friends). You've got this.
Lord, please give Mica Hiebert the strength, perseverance, and patience to overcome his troubles. Stay with him Lord and allow peace to enter his heart. Keep his mind focused. All things are possible through You. In Jesus name. Amen

Getting drunk will not help all your problems will still be there plus a hangover when you sober up.Praying for your relief of this burden.

Mica, I agree with w5pv! Getting drunk wont cure a thing...it will only give you a hangover to work through. I would advise talking with a minister or counselor to deal with the stress. I found out that as I age I am getting more and more linear. I like to only do one project as a time and it fries my bacon when I get interrupted.

Father, I pray that Mica gets the relief that he needs. Please guide him and walk with him as he walks a very hard path. I know that You are there to help and please reveal Yourself to him in such a way that he knows You are there to help him. Please guide him to the right source to deal with his stresses and to relieve those issues that are present in his world. Father, I give You all the praise. AMEN

After I got the waters cleaned up the best I could and got fans running I returned into work 2 hours late, supervisor was pretty understanding and Suprised I came in at all. I was able to maintain a pretty decent mood despite everything and finish my shift, looked in the mirror this morning and I look awful, big black yellowish rings round my bloodshot eyes, gotta try n get some sleep, have one more 12.5 hour shift tonight then heading straight to the old house to do some more demolition work in the morning.

Thank you all for your prayers I know they helped me move forward last night now if I could find enough peace to shut my mind off and drift to sleep...

Mica, these are the type things that can really try a man's soul. Hang in there. And you're in my prayers. Paul Harvey once ran a little contest asking his listeners what they thought was the most important verse in the Bible to them, and an old widow woman "won" by submitting the verse, "This too shall pass." That's a good one to keep in mind. Always keep your eyes on the prize - the end result - and not on all the things that crop up between the start and the goal. You'll be fine in the long run. Just keep taking it step by step, and it'll work out great in the end. It's just a bit of a marathon between the start and finish. And the Lord is with you always. Just shake his hand now and then along the way, and He'll support you where you need it most. With Him, nothing can get you down, though some things can certainly test you. All of it is for your convenience and betterment, but it's all eventually for the glory of God, so just go with Him and you can't go wrong.

Hey Mica, There are many things that can be put before us that are there to try us but not break us. I agree with Paul, You need to talk with a Minister and he will guide you in GODS word how to deal with your problems. Christ tells us in Matthews gospel to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, Be wise how things affect you and the way you respond to them. Stress is one of our worst enemies and can wreak havoc on our health and our relationships, I know that you have heard a lot of advice from others and you have heard life experiences as well. Sit back and take in your thoughts and examine them to see if they are pleasing to GOD, Call on GOD to give you clarity in your thoughts and emotions because acting without GODS guidance will only increase your dissatisfaction. We all have faults failures and are to do just as you have asked "help me deal with this problem". Mica know that we all here care and are holding you and your family up in prayer, Many of us have walked in your shoes and know how you are being tried. Keep us posted so we will know how to pray for your situation.

Wife Suprised me with a puppy today, 8 week old chocolate lab. His name is Ruger. I've been telling her we can't have a dog rite now that I don't have the time and I'm worried about the wear and tear on the new house/lawn... but he sure is cute and kids are really excited. Hope he's gunna be a blessing.

Can't go wrong with a good pup !

Sometimes, Mica, God puts things in our lives when we need it, and not necessarily when we think we want them. But He always loves us, and knows best. Enjoy that puppy. Ruger just might be at least part of the answer to your prayers. My new dog has really been a boon to me, in spite of his clawing, gnawing and other stuff! She's a real force of nature, as are most pups, and it's impossible to be sad or down when you're around a good new pup. Enjoy!

At the old house I got the kitchen tore down to bare walls on Monday till I crashed and burned at around noon then Tuesday I got the bathroom tore down to the walls to find out I am going to need to tear it down to the studs, and i got the cieling in the basement down. Wednesday I got all the plumbing cut out and today got plumbing roughed in with water to the toilet and faucets out side. My wife got some of the cabinets painted, I still need to get my lawn mowed at the new house. Then tomorrow sleep all day and back on the grave yards... had very little patience this week and yelled at the kids a few times and found out the bathroom is going to be more work and money than I had planned on but I was able to be pretty productive this week. Thank you all for the prayers. I'm going to need all the help I can get the next couple of months.

Prayers and having been there done that you need to set aside 1 day a week to relax. Or you are going to crash and burn hard with a heart attack. Think of your family first! The house projects will get finished when they get finished! When I was growing up my parents flipped houses. We did 1 or 2 a year depending on if it was a total gut job or just needed cosmetic work. No matter what we took weekends off to go camp and fish as a family! We were always far more energized come Monday and got twice as much work done than when we worked every weekend. After that if we did work on a weekend it was doing something low stress like demolition.
