Well went back to the shop to pick up a NIB Lyman # 266469AV DC mold (for $25)
and found another swaging press.....a Herters 'Super Bullet Maker'
Here it is next to the 9 ton Herters

The thread pattern is different (larger) than the 9 ton & the ram is also 'threased internally.

He also had this laying there.... a swage-o-matic core cutter

My question is which press is the more desireable? Or should I say which
would I have an easier time finding bits-n-pieces for?

You can probably find some screw-in shell holders for that press at Vega Tool.com they can make up just about anything for you to fit the older presses.
