Taylor, Wonderful results, particularly after reading your earlier posts! Btw, do you dry patch the bore after seating the REAL aand damp patch it after firing? Doing so helped me wring the last bit of accuracy from my T/C Hawken. Also, if you see a T/C or Lyman Maxi-Ball mold (used, but excellent condition), you may want to try them as well. Lastly, I'm glad to learn that I'm not the only one who uses a wad under REAL's.

I tried dry patches after loading, but it did not like that very well. These were shot from a sand bag also, for awhile I thought I had forgot how to shoot.I damped patched after about the 3rd shot, those are the ones off group.I thank Idahoron for wad idea,it was his suggestion, provided my memory serves me correctly.I am quite proud of this, as it took me a long time to get there.I was ready to quit,I'm glad I didn't now.

Looks beyond excellent to me... especially with the scout and its 1-20 twist (early).

I don't have a clue as to what that is.The target was glued to a 4x8 sheet of plywood.Other than having some boolit holes it was clean and painted.I'll check the other pics. They were not on the original pics, maybe something on download? I checked the other target pics and they are all yellow, they should be clean holes, I don't know...I still have the target, I will try again, makes me look like I don't have any integrity. But I assure you these are valid bullet holes. My daughter says it could be the way it was uploaded, but I do have a cheap low megipixal camera.

Looks like you need to mow your grass. :groner:

The "yellow" is the lawn behind your targets.

Get a sheep, they will mow and fertilize at the sametime.

Downside is that Carpetman may come a callin'.

John.

You are welcome. If you move out to 100 and they open up a bit try some Pyrodex P. It worked like a charm in two of my guns. After your done in the after glow of good groups. You might want to look at paper patching. You have a fast twist gun, all you would need is a Lee 500 S&W mould, paper, and a .501 sizer die. Ron

That looks like a yellow wad that traveled with the bullet down range. Reason I say this is I make them from denim and have seen the same thing.
