I is a beautiful day in Western PA so I thought I might just go and recycle some lead at my shooting range. This is the 100 yard backstop—a log cut many years ago! I use logs at various distances at my range and occasionally tear them apart and salvage the slugs of past shootings…

So here are a few pictures (maybe!) of the morning activities…BCB

Well, the pictures posted, but not how I thought they would. So here are some discriptions:

1st Row: The shooting range...The 100 yard log backstop...

2nd Row: Some of the salvage...The melt begins...

3rd Row: The end product. About 20 pounds of 2-1 (WW-#2) as that is what I mostly shoot. That will make about 500 RCBS 45-270-SAA for my Blackhawk--My favorite shooter at present...

You know, it is so much simpler to go to the local tire store and get some weights.
However, I also love picking once fireds. Don't ask me why, but I do indeed get satisfaction form recovery. I even like picking copper skins from the melt.
Just me.
