I cannot seem to find and OAL data for 9mm 125 gr round nose lead Boolit. I had 1000 pcs of this no name bullet given to me. They are Powder coated and sized. This is the style and design on the projectile if that helps. http://gatewaybullets.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/9mm125GR.jpg

I'd like to use Tightgroup, CFE pistol or heck even the tankerd of 700x I have available.

Any thoughts on over all length? I can only find LCN data for length.
Thanks ahead of time

1.125 if u want a number that should work well. But you need to Google "Plunk test", and fogure what is best oal for your gun....

Looks like the magma design. Axalways, oal is gun & bullet specific. Make a dummy round long, try it in your barrel, work it up or down 0.010" at a time.

My 125 gr. is a LEE .358 RF. It seats deeper so i backed off about 7% from start load for a 9mm 125 gr. Running 4.4 Unique.

Shiloh just cast and loaded 100 of those only I used Red Dot, very similar load though.

They are intended for a 9mm single shot (handi rifle, stub job) that likes its ammo either jacketed or a size larger than standard .356. The ones I checked with my cheap HF calipers showed .360 air cooled using range lead with a little tin added.

Next we get to go to the range and see what they will do.

Standard 9mm molds dropping at .356 at best, often .355, pattern on a 50' NRA Bullseye target. No accuracy at all.
.357 work okay, .358 much better. 9mm was the hardest firearm to get running right with lead.

your gonna have to determine your own oal by trial and error.
fit to the magazine and then insure 100% feeding.
once you have that then you start your load work up.

I'd seat the front drive band flush with the case mouth and try that.
then mark where the base of the boolit sit's in the case to determine how much air space I have to work with.
compare that to a known bullet of similar weight and shape and start from the bottom.
3.sumthin grs of the 700-x should be a good place to start.
I'm at 3.2 with red-dot and bulls-eye.
I can go higher, and a little lower [shrug] but I have function and accuracy so I'm good.

oh and I'm pretty sure that is the HI-TEK [copper] coating not a powder coat.

The ones in the pic are as I was just showing style.

The ones I have are indeed powder coated.

the powder coat is slipperier than normal cast so may require a little more powder.
[@4% is normal]
I'd still do what I wrote above mostly cause that's how I always do it and it works for me.
