Just when you thought you couldn't possibly get any cheaper you come up with something new. I re-purposed a Flat Screen 70" TV BASE from one of my jobs that wasn't needed because the customer had me mount the 70" TV on the wall. Being a cheap SOB I scrounged the base took it home and welded 8 3/4X 3 1/2" bolts on the base along with 3/4" nuts. I had a left over can of blue paint and threw a quick coat on the metal base and bolts. At about $29 OR WHAT ever they cost I saved some money and I will have everything on one plate that I can lag down to a shelf. On top of the base is a Dillon base just so you can see what they look like. The Dillon base will now be sold.

No comments? No one is even going to tell me I have the wrong color of blue paint?

Interesting, kind of big, I wouldn't have any place to put that.... Otherwise, if it works for you, enjoy

I think that's pretty cool. Gives me some ideas for my Dillon 650.

I used what I had on hand. Kinda big? Yes, maybe. I can get 6 more 3/4" bolts and weld them to the plate for extra capacity if needed. I can rotate the heads 90 degrees for the extra room needed when additional bolts are added. I really like the wood holder. Unfortunately I can cut a board twice and its still to short. I have absolutely no wood working skills or the patience to acquire them. I can however make about anything out of metal when I have a brake and shear to use. The project was just a simple idea because I'm cheap when it comes to buying $300 plus dollars worth of stands.

If I had your metal working skills, I'd of made mine out of metal.

Thanks; took about 30 min to make using a Jig Saw and a Router. However, the one made out of metal would be my preferred setup if I had it to do over.

Having the skill to make something out of metal is the easy part. Having your own brake and shear is the hard part and unfortunately I have neither.
