Enjoyed day at range

Went to the range this Father's day. Shot my CVA 30-06. Needed to finish sighting it in. Shooting 170 grain cast RN/FN LEE 309 diam. bullet. Powered by16.5 grains of Unique Powder.
First shot was wild as I expected it to be. Next two shots went left. After scope adjustments the next 6 shots grouped at the bullseye in a 1 1/2 inch group. Shooting was done at 100 yds. Think I am going to like this bullet for plinking and varmits.170604

Looks like a good load. Easy on the shoulder and easy on the powder supply...Nice! Also looks like you would have had 8 shots in that group except for the scope change. The CVA's can certainly shoot well.
