Can you shoot a tumble lube bullet if it's lubed with a sizer?

Tumble lube type bullets can be sized and lubed in a conventional lubri-sizer. The more the bullet diameter is reduced, the more the (already small) lube grooves will close up. However, I have done it many times with complete satisfaction.

Take care, Tom

That boolit looks like a good candidate for Powder Coating.
Hollow point? Sure as long as your rifle has the power to get the penetration on that big wide critter.
Just the meplat alone, as wide as it is …is going to deliver the bone crushing power needed to get into the vitals and deliver that shock that almost jellies the organs.

Confirmed. Cast in 50/50 ww/lead and water dropped you will even have some expansion. Looks close to ideal for moose.

From another Canadian moose hunter, the bullet looks good, if it's accurate you're good to go, but I would stay away from hollowpoints on an animal as large as a moose. The h.p. bullets could really limit penetration and you need your bullet to drive deep on the very big animal.
From an accuracy standpoint, I don't care for a bullet with such sloping sides and would prefer if they were bore diameter instead. I have experienced unstable bullets when most of bullet is not supported by the rifling.

I bet a good portion of that boolit in front of the top drive band engraves in the bore. If it's a true Ranch Dog design, it was fully tested before it hit the market.

Might be worth just tumble lube and load.

The RD bullets were designed to do one thing....take meat reliably. I use the 165 in my 3006 and it is one of the most accurate cast boolits I have ever shot.
