Anschutz 1730 VS Kimber 22 Hornet

Came into a little money and want to get a 22 Hornet that's off the beaten path. Which would you choose? Trying to stay below 1500. Walther KKJ?
Tell me your favorite quality 22 Hornet. Of course I will want it to shoot cast well.

This is a Springfield Model 1922. Originally cut for the 22 LR, this is the model of rifle that Grove Wotkyns and others worked on at the Springfield Armory in the 1920s.

ANother 22 Hornet that is different form others is the Lyman mini Sharps.

I do not have the Lyman rifle but do have the Springfield. It is a joy to shoot.

I'm still regretting not buying the "used trade-in" Kimber Super America .22 Hornet with a Small Burris scope back about 1992 or so. The rifle had one diamond on the stock that wasn't perfect.

The only reason I didn't buy it? It was left handed.

The Springfield would be a joy to have. Afraid my ageing eyes need a scope so the Lyman Sharps would be tough to mount one on. The Kimber
I'm thinking of is a model 82 and looks like new. How do the rear locking action compare to front locking. I have a CZ 527 in 222 so don't want a Hornet in same gun. Thanks the the info and keep it coming. Anyone shoot a Walter?

Model 70 Win or M 54 in 22 Hornet. The M70 will be more than $1,500 if it is in decent condition, you may be able to get a M 54 Win for $1,500 ish.

I saw a really sweet Hornet at the Bass Pro Shop in Aurora CO a few years back; IIRC it was a Dakota Arms Baby Sharps, beautiful wood and receiver colors.
