Help with Lyman 61

I hope photos show my problem, I was given this Lyman 61 pot but the insulator where the cord plugs in is wasted. Looking for advise on repairing. Thanks, Derrell

Sir,

The first photo indicates the cable needs trimming and reconnecting. (Probably caused by pulling the plug out by the cable)
The second photo indicates the fiberglass insulting board may be a bit tattered.
The insulating sleeve needs trimming/replacement.

The insulating sleeve and the fiberglass board can be found at your local Electrical/Electronic stores, or on the Web.
Disconnect wires & replace sleeves.
The new board can be cut to size and drilled for terminal/s fit.

I'd toss the cord.
cut the one off the broken vacuum in the garage put new ends on the cord,
and just clean the board up.
then plug it in and see how it works before I got too much further into it.
