That is a VERY light weight boolit for what you want to use it for. It is likely you won't find published data for that boolit weight because it is likely not recommended. Not with H110 anyway..

H110 shines with heavy boolits, not so much with lightweight ones. You would be better off using 2400 or slightly faster powder if you want to use this boolit.

Linebaugh has some loads with 225gr and H110/W296 on the above page.

28.0 gr to start?!? Holy ****! I knew Linebaugh's #s would scare me but...wow!
Thanks Moonie! I've read that article before (been a couple years) and forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.

Just noticed those were JHP loads.:(
Wonder if I could use his 260 gr cast loads. A 227 gr bullet at 24.0 gr seems like it would be a reasonable load (maybe slightly warm).

his data is a bit high.
but it's only 1 gr more than the hodgdon book max with a cast 225.
I dunno if you can over powder h-110 you might get enough in there to push the boolit back out of the case if you don't crimp it well.

First make SURE your talking a large frame ruger not one of the newer small framed 45s. Second ill say this. Why? If you want a hunting load or any kind of accuracy your better off starting with 250-255s in the 45. The 255s will actually shoot flatter and fly much better at any kind of longer range. Also with a bullet that light and the speeds your going to be using HARD alloys like wd ww are going to be needed and probably a gas check. All that said if you just want to make some noise id consider starting at 25 and if you do go up do it VERY slowly. Your probably not going to blow up a large frame ruger unless you get real dumb but ive shot a couple 45s loose with real big loads. Had one that when you shook it it sounded like a rattle. John knows his stuff and his loads are proven but NEVER try to go higher then he recommends. Like I said though I seriously doubt your going to find accuracy with your idea. Even a lot of the 250-255s are tough to get real good accuracy with and don't fly real well at long range. Ive allways found bullets around 280 grain much better in the 45 colt and those are mostly lfns. To get what I consider accuracy out of my large framed rugers with a swc ive about allways started with the 300 rcbs swcgc. Personaly if I look back on my experiences with the 45 id shelf the project and look at a heavier bullet. If you want to blast some beer cans use your 225s with some unique, power pistol, universal clays or herco and run them about 900-1000 fps and have fun. What your doing is kind of like taking a full sized car and sticking in a 4 cyl motor with nitrous and a turbo when a big v8 would work much better.

You're the responsible person.
Your loads should be chosen carefully.
