My new Inline finally turned up.
Rolling block muzzleloader with 209 ignition .50.
Fitted up a VX1 3-9x40.
First bit of load development today.
Tried the .504 Maxi first up, was good enough to get it on paper but nothing to write home about.
Got the MMP sabots .50/.458 out and loaded up some commercial hard cast 45/70 projectiles.
100 grains of Wano 2p.
2nd pic, 3 shots at 100 metres.
3rd pic about 10 shots.
Very happy with the results.
Going to try some hornady ftx's in .458 and .452 aswell as some other cast projectiles next week.

I love the look of that rifle. Kind of a Rolling block or T/C Scout look to it. Where did you get it? What's the price range? Have you tried more or less powder in the accuracy quest? For many of mine, anything between 70 grs / 90 grs gives the best accuracy and plenty of power for hunting.

I suppose it has the Rolling block kind of look to it as it is a Rolling block. I'm in Australia so I had to order through the importer which took around 7 months.
$950 AUD plus a bit more for the Piccatiny. Minimum load has to be 80gns, I'm guessing this is to make sure the breech plug has been filled. Max load is 150gns.
I haven't tried anything other than 100gns just yet but will do in due course.

ever think about useing a paperpatched bullet in it. much easier to load and would hit a lot harder in hunting. also most likely very very accurate. think about it.

Cablea's and quite a few other companys sold them for several years. Most did not come drilled and tapped for mounts, I did several in the 90's when I ran a shop full time. All were great shooters.
