Good morning,

I started casting for 45-70 and 30.30 with great result from accurate and NOE mould.

I am looking to get a 308 mould for use in 308 and 30.06 rifle.

Any suggestion welcome.

You will get many suggestions as there are many mould designs that work well in .308 and .30-06. My favorite for the two (and .30-40 Krag) is the Lyman #314299. I'm unfamiliar with NOE products but see them mentioned frequently here.

The Lee 180gr GC works well in my 308 savage

I like my Lee 150grn. fn gc for my 30-06 and my 30-30, the flat nose does a job on deer too.

I have a 175 gr. from Accurate that fits very well . It is a bore rider and has a shank that stays in the neck of the case. I tried the LEE, but having the larger nose diameter, involved pushing the boolit further into the case than I prefer.

Have you tried your 30/30 boolit in the 308 and 30/06?

Boolits cast in a Lee 309-160-R mold work well in my bolt action 30/30, 308 Win and 30/06.

the wifes 30-06 dotes on the boolit I use in the 30-30.
I haven't tried it in my 308, but it is similar to the one I use there.
only with another drive band.

The cheap and easy thing to do is try your .30-30 boolit in the other thirty cal rifles.

If that doesn't work to your satisfaction; the next cheapest option is a Lee two cavity mold, I like the 312-185. Mine from several years ago drops a bit over .312" so I can size it to fit, normally .311".

Other than that I would suggest something in the 180-200 grain range.

I agree. My 308 loves that Lee 160 RNGC (sub-MOA). The boolits drop at 166 gr.
