maybe doug guy can chime in too.

would it be possible to re-bore a cylinder to accept 25 acp.....and....re-bore the barrel by using reamers up to the
bore size needed for 25 acp....and make new lands and grooves in the barrel without removing the barrel from the frame?

Barrel needs to be removed from frame and dummy barrel is used as a bushing to line-bore the chambers of the cylinder.

While barrel is out, you can drill that out and have a liner put in, easiest way.

Then finish chamber and fit cylinder, refit barrel and recut forcing cone.

There is an article in this months Handloader by Brian Pearce on a 25 caliber conversion of the Single Six made from an extended 25 acp case. There is a photo of the 25 Flea that is similar to the 22 mag in size. A gunsmith (Bowen?) makes the conversion for this. based on a Hornet case.
I think it would make an excellent kit gun with probably more range than my 32 H&R mag. SS.

You beat me to the punch Leadman. I think a new 25 caliber would be a great small game round for a little single shot rifle too.
