Ok, time to go synthetic on my old pre-micro 336 35remmy that wears a straight stock. Does anyone make a straight stock synthetic? I know that ramline makes a pistol stocked synthetic, but alas I have a straight stock. Is there enough material to hog the unneeded plastic to make it straight?

thanks
Michael

Don't know for sure, but those things are usually hollow. I've only modified H&R's, Sako's, Knight's, and probably a few others. All hollow.

Talking through my hat here because I don't have either style rifle in front of me, but it seems to me the buttstock would attach without problem, only the curved lever would be at odds. I suppose you could switch levers.

I've got one in a scrap pile, I will go out and look at it...

The Ramline stock isn't going to work with the straight lever. I don't know how you could cut and finish it to make it look right. You might have been luck modifying their M94 stock. You might call them and they could tell you whether it would fit or not and put in a vote for a straight Marlin carbine stock.

I think MPI make a straight grip stock for Marlins.

$329 for a "rough" stock is pretty pricey!
