Got a lot of good feedback, tips and suggestions on loads for this little boolit for shooting in 38 Special. Settled on 3.5 grains of Bullseye (per Lloyd's recommendation), with a good firm rollcrimp.

First target is out of my 686 4" shot handheld at 50'

This target is shot handheld at 20' out of my wife's Model 38 Airweight.

This boolit is FUN to shoot!

Thanks again for everyone's tips and suggestions.

Jeff

if those flyers are gun and load related and not shooter related it may pay you to try to bump that up to 4.0 grains or try a different primer. Looks like your really narrowing down to a good load though. try it off the bench first though to eliminate any chance that it is operator error

I'd suggest removing the yardstick before shooting so your flyers will not put another hole in it.:groner: DALE

The flyers on the second load, with the Airweight, are all mine. I haven't shot that gun in probably six/seven years as it's not a lot of fun to shoot.

I'll be experimenting with a few different powder loads, but this one will definitely work for the wife.

Thanks again.
