Left three dialing it in. X-Ring is 3 for I'll be danged. 50 yards, 77/44 off a rest. Gave one of my friends a casting lesson a few months back and he took the production with him. 30:1 alloy shot with Trail Boss and a suppressor. Lyman mould making about 250 grains of bullet, don't recall the mould number and too lazy to go look.

Looks like ya' got a darn good load there. Care to share it? And is that the GC'd 439244?

Looks like a 429244 and it is gas checked. Sized to .430 and tumble lubed. 7.7 grains of Trail Boss. Velocity in the 1000-1025 fps range.

I'd say it's accurate - what's it do at 100?

I dunno, not my gun. All I did was tell the fella he was barking up the wrong tree with mail order hard cast and jacketed bullets for what he was trying to do. Melted some 30:1, handed him a mould and oversaw his first casting adventure. We took the production to the bench after than and installed the GCs and sized. Rest was up to him. Win/Win I think.

He will be shooting hogs with the load.

I'd say it's accurate, wouldn't change a thing
