I want to cast some bullets for the 300blk. I was going to get that 230 gr lee mold that they made for 300blk but have read all kinds of neg. stuff on it so I figured I'd use the 160 gr. 312 gas check mold I got awhile back for the 7.62x39 round.
I know you're supposed to slug the barrel for size but I hate doing that so, I prob wont. anyway my question is; should I leave the boolit as cast .312 +- or should I go ahead and size it down to .308? I sized some to check them out and that lee .308 die really puts that gas check on nice and tight, something the .314 die does not do very well.
I plan on TLubing them and loading them as light as the rifle will let me.

If it will chamber 312 is ok but likely will have some fatter or smaller. Size 310 or 311 and you will be fine. 308 is too small

Shoots great in my AR, except I'm using MML+ at moderate velocity at .310. Haven't tried it in the single shot yet.

Size as little as possible to get it to chamber,,,,,,
