Rules I would like everyone to follow.

1- There will be no prices discussion on here.
2- This is not an ad for sales.
3- no bashing anyone else's PDI from this site. This is about the units I manufacture.

Anybody can build one of these... and anybody can sell them... BUT Mark's unit has an extremely high level of craftsmanship and it shows. I am a nit-picker as far as quality is concerned and I am 100% happy with every aspect of my unit. Mark cuts straight and even when making his units, something that others should take note of... just saying. Works perfectly an is right-on the money as far as calibration is concerned. This is an honest review and I don't know Mark from a hole in the wall except for buying one of his units. He even took the time to explain and answer any questions that I had regarding the unit. I don't see a better value for your money anyplace if you are in the market for a PID. :bigsmyl2:

Very accurate unit I built one using the exact same components, but mine has 2 units to control pot and lube sizer . I used RTD's instead of iron constant TC
Nice job

TC = Thermocouple................imagine that's what you meant. What's the temperature range on a RTD?

WOW!!!!!!! What a vendor! Received my PID today but ran into some problems. I sent Mark a PM about a problem with the PID and also explained I couldn't figure out the instructions. Within 30 minutes Mark was on the phone getting everything straightened out. Walked me through the instructions and is sending a replacement unit to correct the QC problem. Never had a vendor respond that quickly. Speaks very highly of him as both a person and a vendor. Can't wait to get this thing hooked up and running.:drinks: Thanks Mark.

I got one of the two I have coming (one is for a buddy). Very nice. I really like how he has set his up. I like being able to turn it on, and then turn on/off the load. Excellent product.

Was just killing some time so looked at a few RTD's and didn't find any that would handle the temperatures of molten lead.
Did you?

RTD PT-100 on ebay are good up to 500 degree Celsius or 932 degrees Fahrenheit, Plenty good for lead pots that operate from 650-750 Fahrenheit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RTD-Pt100-Thermocouple-Temperature-Sensor-2m-Cable-100mm-Probe-3-Wires-50-500-/401092641773?hash=item5d62fc03ed:g:YBoAAOSwMORW8Kz c

Guess I should have killed a little more time! Ones I looked at didn't go that high.

The RTD PT-100 will not work the way my PID. The RTD are a 3 wire setup. My are wired for a 2 wire k type thermocouple. The K type go up to 1200 deg f. So you can use them for all kind of thing.

Thank guy. I have quite literally slept the entire lost 20 hours. Just up long enough to take medicine. The thing with the flu they can not treat the flu. They can only treat the symptoms. It's just a waiting game.

Mark, just get well. Last year at Easter I had my first overnight stay in a hospital, was 71 then. Then another night later after surgery. Thank God I haven't been back.

Where is your price list located? I hope to go the PID route this summer.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Received the unit Mark made for me with the Auberins PID substituted for the Mypin. Very nice work. Well worth the money.

I hooked it up and set the auto tune to operate. After it cycled 3 times, it maintained 100 degrees without fluctuating. Very nice

My unit arrived last week and I got it up and running last night. Works like a champ!

Having the real time temp display is quite an eye opener regarding temp swings etc. Also shows my RCBS analog thermometer is reading about 50degs too cool. Definitely looking forward to more use and fine tuning of my technique.

Thanks Mark!

Hi, does "mgread" have a VS set up yet with pricing for the PID's that he makes? If so, under what name does it go by? I looked in the VS under his handle here but I didn't find anything. Does his VS go by a different name/listing. TYIA, SharuLady
