9x23
aka Largo or Long in Spanish
aka 9mm Bergmann–Bayard or 9mm Bayard Long

I've been using the 9mm Luger carbide dies
made by Lee to reload 9mm Largo. They seem to work fine.
I've also heard of people using 38 super dies but I already owned 9x19 die.

I use .38 super dies to load for my largo.

38 Super dies and a shell holder to fit the Largo base, most likely 9mm
I enjoy my largo and super guns

You can use 9mm dies, with a 9X23 FCD. I used 38 auto dies, but had to change out the sizing die, it did not size enough for proper tension. Lee replaced it with a 9mm sizing die. The rep said I could have just used 9mm dies. If you have 9mm dies you are set except for the FCD die.

ok negligible differences between all the 9x23's, I ordered a set of rcbs dies that list as 9x19 9x21 9x23 i'll just tune them via a factory round.
any recommendations on boolits, I have the lee 124gr rn and an accurate 125gr tc and the 102gr lee rn(typically for 380 use on that last one)

I have had best luck with .358's in my 9mm's - my favorite SWC is the Lee 105 but you don't have that one
- I would try the 124 RN myself but you
say your 125 TC is most accurate so that's what I would start with.
I usually on the older auto loaders just try and duplicate factory
ammo to start.

Loading data on the factory was all over the internet

If you don't have it in your manual's.
Speer #14:
124 gr. tmj 4.3 - 4.7 grs W231 powder gives 951 - 1013 fps

You can use 38 ACP (NOT 38 Super) as substitute data.
And NEVER use 9x23 Winchester data.

In the older Largo guns I would start on the low end and just
work up until you have reliable function - no need to stress
the old guns and heaven help you if you break a part on some
of them as replacements are tough to find.

thanks artful
the rcbs dies I have on the way are labeled 9mm luger, 9x21, 9x23; luger being the only caliber name listed so i'll give em a whirl. I have a set of lee 9mm dies set and dressed for luger with the accurate made truncated boolit, I HATE to change set dies.

yes guys it's a star b matching numbers on frame and slide which I thought was cool. can't find data in my books but I've read recommended 4.3 - 4.7 w231/hp38 so that's where I'm going to start at, 4.3 until I get reliable cycling.
thanks so much guys for your help in this project
