I am looking for Load data on a powder coated 6.5 Grendel 125 Gr. The mold is by NOE. It will be shot out of an AR

What sort of performance are you looking for. My case is the Grendel-Max so have a little more capacity but for the original design of that bullet (from my LBT mould that the NOE was taken from) I have a blue dot load of 11gn that is a great little plinker so if you started about 9gn you would be in about the same place for about 1650fps.50/50 alloy with al gc but a 24gn Varget load gives 1950fps although I use a cu+ alloy with hornady gc so around 21gn should be a good place for you with the standard Grendel
I do have higher velocity loads but they may not extrapolate as well.

I am using regular brass. This is my first time using cast so it will be different. I do 308 and 223 but haven't tried 6.5 yet. Now to find blue dot or varget. I have 5 lbs of unique. I will be plinking at 100 yards. 20 inch barrel.

Have you ever substituted unique or bullseye for blue dot?

Have you ever substituted unique or bullseye for blue dot?

Keep in mind, unique, bullseye and most likely bluedot will not cycle an AR.

I was just having that conversation on Facebook lol. Looking at 7.62x39. Unique does cycle in an AK. So there might be a glimmer of hope. Might need to use jacketed bullet recipe of h335 reduce it and go from there. Data on this round I cast is too hard to find

I have load data for BL-C2, 3031, H335, Varget but will not put it on an open thread. PM me if you want more detail

Just getting around to playing with your design in the 6.5 Grendel Von Gruff. It took a while to get a sizer die, but everything is set in motion. In reality, I got the NOE mold as a bullet to blow out x3 brass cheaply, but it fits my throat so well it may be a shooter. My best loads with the Grendel have been with H322. Not the fastest, but are very accurate. Varget, H4895, and H335 were not the most accurate in my barrel, but will be tried again with the cast bullet. Leverevolution is on the shelf waiting to be tried.Supposedly it gives the best velocities in the 6.5 Grendel so it will be interesting to see what the performance is with a cast bullet. Just got the reloading bench unpacked and tools laid out so I can load these up, and do some testing this week. These bullets were cast and coated some 4 months ago now so they should have hardened back up some. Just COWW alloy with a little Cu. First thing on the list at the new place as far as reloading goes.

This is a couple of test groups for my Grendel Max with all testing done at 100 yds

Note that with the 2208 loads (Varget as ADI makes it and it is renamed for the US and beyond) that the Al GC does better than the Cu GC. I found that in most cases where the velocity was under 1900fps that this has been the case
When I started to push into the higher velocity with H335,BL-C2 and 3031 and even CFE223 the Cu GC did much better although accuracy was sometimes elusive. The blue dot load has killed a few goats to about 150yds so in reality there is not much point in chasing rainbows as the Amax /SST is a better proposition from there on out.

Old thread but I figured I'd add my load- 26gr of IMR3031 with a CCI-400. I use PC and ACWW sized to .265" in 2- 20" ARs. 1" - 1 1/8" groups at 100yds. 2300fps with no leading.

There is a forum on the NOE Site, and that reloading data used to be available. If it's not anymore, call Al and ask for the link.
