Does anyone remember how much has to be removed from the Lee mold
to get to a 140 gr bullet? Thanks for any info....

I removed the gas check shank and the bottom band and got roughly 145 gr.

Thanks Yodogsandman, I figured it would take .190 to get there.

I also removed the gas check shank and bottom driving band and the mould throws 150gn bullets for my Carcano.

It's a midsouth custom, exclusive to them.

Anybody know what diameter this mold actually casts at? I have a different purpose in mind but need the diameter to know if it will work.

Gary N Mine drops at .271 with clip on ww. That's perfect, as you can
size them down to what ever you want.

What's the best way to keep them from going bananas (curling)?
Had a lot of them too curved to use and never did have the time to sort things out.

2 possible causes can be casting with high temp. and opening the mold to soon. The other possible could be burrs holding the boolet from dropping. May be lots of other causes, but these are causes I have seen.Robert

Both my CM moulds cast at .270.
