I think they are available from Gander Mountain, not Cabelas... Price and free shipping is correct though

Edit: I didn't see you said Gander Mountain in the post, just Cabelas in the post title. My bad!

Sorry, was in a rush to get this posted. Available at Gander Mountain with free shipping is correct. Limit 1 per customer, already got me one ;-)

I almost bought one... I have quite a bit in the closet though, so I guess I'll pass this time around. Thanks for the post thought!

I never had much luck with that 22 ammo anyway. I see that it says " new and improved " on the bucket. I hope so... I never had so many duds with any other 22.

I've found a good supply of Federal AutoMatch $19.99 for 325 rounds. I have bought 4 boxes in the last 3 or 4 weeks.
Prolly going after more since they have been as scarce as hens teeth. The same box has been as much as $35 at a local pawn shop.

I have an Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit for my wife's Glock 17 and so far the Remington Golden Bullets are the ONLY .22 ammo that I have found that will function it reliably. Even CCI Mini Mags which are normally good, reliable ammo in any other .22 firearm just won't make this darn conversion work properly. Oh well, I guess you just have to shoot whatever works ...

I had some many duds, I pulled a bullet and dumped the powder on several duds. No green priming compound, none. I know they used green priming compound,(well on some of the rounds) as I pulled bullets on others rounds and saw it.

Bonz I sure hope they corrected those .22 rounds so you don't get a bunch of misfires. The ones I had were several years ago.

Hickock, I was given several boxes of Remington Standard Velocity 100 round boxes to shoot Bullseye. Out of 2 boxes I tried to shoot
each box had at least 7 or 8 FTF. And in a match that is not good at all. The rest are in an ammo can. I never thought about pulling the bullet
to see if the primer compound was missing.

I can just imagine how many of these `buckets of bullets` will be showing up on a local on line auction. This last Mon. an auction ended with one of these pails going for $167.00 + 10% commision + 6% tax.Robert

Len, the next couple of duds you get, check them. I used a pair of vice grips and wiggled the boolit out, just holding the case in my fingers. As always, be careful.

They had 100 packs of Winchester for $6.99 at Fleet Farm. Bought one only.

Not sure I would buy anymore Rem rimfire ammo even if they were giving it away. I was having alot of problems w both of my GSG522 last weekend, both worked fine on CCI, but were choking on remington golden bullets, and some Winchester I had. Lots of misfires, and jams. Was a time during the panic when many of us bought whatever was on the shelf. Guess I will reserve the questionable stuff my my sons bolt action.
