How many of us have one or more guns that fit that description.

What guns, cartridges, boolits fit this description for you.

This is for target shooting whether that be holes in paper, knocking over steel critters, or just reducing rocks and stumps to rubble on yonder hillside.

Old faithful shooter in my family has always been grandpas Winchester 52s (pre-A and B models) in 22LR. 82 years of family shooters on the Pre-A and still shoots great and straight.

I have a high number 1903 Springfield , had a new old stock barrel put on . I fit the metal to it and sent a cherry wood stock blank to Mike Kokalis to be cut into a type seven stock . metal and wood was sent to Dean Dillabaugh who did final fit and finish . Load is seven and a half grains of Unique , a Lyman 311466 bullet no gas check and minimal lube . It doesn't seem to be primer or case sensitive and shoots to the battle sight at close range . it's a very reliable and accurate load and rifle .

Another old reliable is an ancient Springfield bolt action .22 that shoots into the same spot no matter what .

Geezzz, I've got at least 12 firearms that meet that description. At least 1 in each category; pistol, revolver, rimfire rifle, rimfire pistol, muzzle loading rifle, break action shotgun, pump shotgun, semi-auto shotgun, c-f rifle (bolt), c-f rifle (semi), c-f rifle (single shot), etc.....

I guess that most of my rifles and handguns meet that criteria. If a firearm doesn't shoot well, then it usually gets traded on for something that does. Of course the firearm is judged on what it's genre is capable of. I don't expect my Trapdoors to shoot with my National Match rifles nor my rack grade GI handguns to shoot with my gunsmithed match pistols or revolvers.

Digital Dan,

Is that you in the Nam with the Cav Stetson? I can't quite make out which cav regiment you or the trooper in the photo was with. I was with the 2/17 Air Cav for a while in the Nam.

By the way, I never found the M1 Thompson (or 1927 either) to be a one hole shooter when in rock and roll mode, but they were more fun than a barrel of monkeys. :)
