Just tried my new to me sizer with the carbine boolits from the GB mold. The top lube groove is not getting any lube in it. Seems maybe the boolit is not going into the sizer enough? Will a different top punch help?

you need to adjust the sizer so the bullet goes in deeper so it can pick up lube.

Should the top punch touch the top of the sizer? ( this one does) The sizer came with this top punch and sizer on it. The guy that had it used to to lube 311041 boolits so the top punch likely never touched the sizer

Try a different punch that has a smaller outside diamater and same or simular inside profile.
I don't have this GB mould but being for the 30 carbine I expect it is a short boolet meaning you will need a shorter TP or one small enough on the OD to enter the size die. Or you could shorten the punch you are using now.

There is an adjustment thumbwheel & shaft at the bottom of the sizer that controls how far the bullet is pushed into the die. It needs to be adjusted to allow it to go deeper. The top punch should not contact the die with a bullet in it. The adjustment is located within the bottom of the u shaped linkage, in case you can't find it.

My problem seems to be the top punch. I think it is to deep and it touches the top of the sizer. I think I will order the one that fits the lyman .30 carbine boolit. I hope that works.

You don't neccissarily need to fill all the lube grooves on bullets. Beings this is a carbine bullet and a small one you probably do but I was just bringing this up for general info.
