Can anyone suggest a bullet mold for target/hunting out to 100yds for this caliber. I have a brand new rifle from the 1980's.
I would also take any loads you guys are using. Looking for brass, dies, and bullet mold.

Thanks

R5R makes an outstanding suggestion! I have also had good luck with the Lee 255gr 375 mold. It will probably cast large enough for your rifle, mine does. I cast them , rattle with BLL and load over 10 gr of Alliant 20-28 powder for a really nice plinking/target load. Think 1 inch groups with irons at 50 yards. Probably about 1250fps ish. Move the sight up 2 notches from the hunting sightin with the NOE 375449 and they are "on" at 50.
My 375BB is from 79(trusting memory now) and I use 38-55 starline brass, chamber accepts brass length of 2.100. Thats MY gun, measure yours and see what you have. The Starline brass is much more available and plenty strong for MY uses. If you plan to "stretch" the 375's leggs ,so too speak, you may want to use 375 brass. Do some reasearch, but my understanding is the starline brass is "not your grandaddy's 38-55"brass!
I am taking mine to Fl this weekend to see about introducing a hog to the 375449 boolit :)

that poor Hog.
usually the faster powders do well in the 375.
I have worked from AA-1680 down wards [faster] in powder speed.
I'm still working out the details to use a slower powder such as H-322 or AA-2230.
but there is no published data for them so I won't go into that here.

Yup, what he said. 32 grs Rx7 if you can get it.

I designed my #38-200AG for use with Starline 2.125" 38-55 brass in my 94. Sized .380".
Using 25.5 grains 5744 produces 1750 fps and 1.25" groups at 100 yards.

I've never gotten adequate accuracy with 375 Win brass. Both the Winchester and Marlin are really chambered for 38-55, with .378+" groove diameter. I'm sure this was done to bleed off pressure, but it sent accuracy right out the window.

Check your chamber before using brass longer than 375 Big bore! You will almost certainly find that it will take 38-55 brass. Starline offers both 2.125" and 2.08" lengths.
