Not cast boolits, but certainly red. A mid 70's Hornady DL 266 shot shell loader 12/20 gauge.

OK I have not cast boolits in a while but my Grandfather taught me 50 years ago how to do it quick and dirty. I broke every rule on casting these. I used a map gas torch to heat lead (pure lead from orisolo of this forum) in my pouring ladle and preheat my mould (Lyman 2520 2 cavity 52 grains round nose). I used no thermometer and no fluxing of the lead. Yea I told you down and dirty. Given this they did turn out very well and shoot well in my AirForce .25 Condor. Of course I do not plan to use this method of casting but it did satisfy my impatient nature that occured when I received new lead and a new mould. [smilie=l:

I'll throw some red into the mix. These were my first attempt at PC along with the test targets and then some of the recovered boolits that I dug out of the snowbank. I found that for this whole powder coat thing interesting!

Bench is not set up fully yet but I stacked some red on it and took a pic.163268 If I did it wrong feel free to yell at me.163269 A little side action. 163270 Taking this picture made me realize I do not have many boxes for my molds. Happy red.

I came in a red box many years ago. Plus the stock is dark red too. My old replica .69 caliber flintlock pistol. I like to break it out and unlimber it from time to time. letting it heave the huge 750 grain .69 minie balls downrange is always a impressive sight. I know that back in the day you definitely did not want to be on the receiving end of one of these even with a round ball. I also found that it works great as a 16 gauge shotgun too. The plastic shotshell wad sleeves fit quite well in it too.
