Will the Lee 312-185-R drop from the mold with a ww + 2% Sn at .314" ?

What is the diameter this mold normally drops?

Bill My single cav. drops at .312and .302 on the nose but my other lee(155) does drop big at .314 seems like its luck of draw with lee.

Mine puts out bullets at 0.312-3" on the same bullet, but has been Beagled (shimmed) 0.002". (It is slightly out of round.) This is with ww + some lino, hardness approx. 11.5 bhn using the Gussy hardness tester. I got slightly smaller bullets using a softer batch of lead.

Unshimmed, it only put out 0.310-11" bullets. Stan

New and unmodified, my Lee 312-185 dropped .312, right on the nose, from a mix of 3 parts #2 alloy to 1 part lino. The bore on my Mk4#1 runs .313, though, and the mould has since been lapped out (Barkeepers Friend, toothpaste, and patience) to drop just a hair over .315.

Mine didn't, but I Leemented it up to .313:-D

Mine drops them at just over .314"

Mine drops 0.313" near the base and 0.300" in the nose area. Since it is a bore riding bullet, I decided to use it in my 30-40 Krag (sized to 0.312") and it works great there. I got it for a 303 rifle, however, and did not even try it there. The nose is too small for that.
