I think you did ok. Seven cents each is not to bad.

7 cents is pretty good.
they are more like 9-10 cents each in the stores now if you can find them.
everything I have been finding has all the words in Spanish or Philippine or something other than American.

Yep. That's better than any I've been able to find online, and all I can find in the local stores are Eley match ammo at something like $22 for 50.

I think the oil companies own the 22 rimfire factories because they are gouging us on the price. Everything else in the gun business came down after the big scare buy except 22's. You remember when Walmart use to have the 550 milk cartons of Federal plated hollow points for $8.59?

The last 1400 count pail of Remington .22`s that sold at a local on line auction went for $159.00 - add on 10% auction premium then 6% Michigan sales tax, so you did pretty good.Robert

mostly i bought em to help out the old guy trying to peddle them.

he was at the gunshow to sell , not buy.

don't know for sure but he looked like he was a bit down on his luck...so yeah , i'm pleased and he was elated.

If I could get that price for mine I would be very tempted to sell.

I bought many of the 550 Federal packs for $10 & $12 years ago. Glad I had the foresight to "stock up".

$30 500 count bricks is the norm round here when the big box stores have them in stock about $19 for 325 round pack so you did OK not sure if you have sales tax but if you do you walked away farther ahead... I was going through some of my pre Obama stock and found a 550 round federal pack with a $15.99 price sticker on it... I also remeber burning through $8 bricks of Remington golden bullets back before they went bad q.c. those days are gone! :-(

That's the Walmart price! ...iffn you can find 'em in stock.

No shipping + no sales tax = good!

You got enough to enjoy some shooting for a while, so feel good and enjoy.

I have to stand in lines outside stores before they open on the right days here in Florida to score a 500 round box, which is still hit or miss, but guess I'm lucky that they're going for just under 5 cents each when I do manage to get em.

Anytime I'm in Walmart I stop by the ammo display although I know they won't have any .22's. A couple of weeks ago my son was with me as I gazed through the rows of ammo - I started to walk away but he saw some - they were in larger boxes that I am used to. 1,000 round boxes, limit two! 2,000 rounds for $98 total plus tax. Yehaw!
