I have several rifles with synthetic stocks though not a Winchester 94. Wood looks better but synthetic stands up better and is not subject to warpage like wood is. All my modern hunting bolt action rifles have sythetic stocks on them for this reason. I have a Tikka in 30-06 and a Model 70 Win in 223 that are my priciple long range hunting rifles for big game and varmints. Neither has changed zeros since I first sighted them in.

I have seen a bunch of bolt actions with synthetic stocks, just wondering how folks reacted to synthetic stocks on a lever gun.
Thanks,
Jeff

I put a plastic butt stock on my Win 94 because it was much lighter than the wood stock. The plastic forearm was heavier than the wood forearm. See: http://www.castbullet.com/shooting/heart.htm

Shot my best group ever with a 94 Balck Shadow 30-30 A.I. with factory synthetic stocks. Don't want to argue about it but it was well under 1/2".
