nice, watch the one he shoots chuck brass in every direction! youd think they would at least properly fit things for a shot show gun.

What exactly is new about them? The 1911 has been around a long time.

I think the biggest change I saw was the MSRP coming back in line with reality and the competition. They look promising and for an MSRP in the 900 range, I'd definitely pick one up if street price was in the 800-900 range. By reducing price and bringing out a select few mainstream models, Colt finally may get their act together.

They do look nice. Makes me wish the arthritis in my hands would go away and so I can pull back a slide without a struggle. I like my revolvers so life is good.

Can't buy them in California, not on the list. Only Stainless Python is on the list for Colt.

Haters gone hate!! I'm all Colted out for now. With the Wiley Clapp Commander, Series 70 repro, 1967 Commercial hardball accurized hardball gun, and the Series 70 Gold Cup National Match purchased in the last 12 months my wife may kill me, lol.

Man should we count Colts! I really need to get in the safes & see what I have. Might be 15 or so. 2 or 3 hardball guns, 2 or 3 GCs, several Cdrs, Defenders, 1991, Officers, something else that was the Officer grip & Cdr slide, a Kings custom, hmmm probably something else. Yep, them Colts sure suck eh? Then there's the Para's, Kimbers, Dan Wesson & maybe still a S&W. All .45s except 1 or 2 .40s. Most of mine are old or older. Don't think I've bought one in 10 or more yrs. Even still have my first Cdr from around 1970. Don't have my first Govt WWII bring back given by my pop in 59.

Hopefully the new Colts coming out will be "good" & competitive. It's been Kimber for me for a while now.

I still have my old Colt 1911 that I shoot. It is still under the price of a new one and still a great shooter.

Don't think I've paid more than 5 to 700 for any of them(& many much less) except a Tim Thompson custom CC that is my shoot in any action or training event. Many thousands of rounds & never a malfunction. Yep, I just hate them Colts!

I only have 3 Colt 1911's, Gold Cup, Comander series 70 and the Defender. Spent almost the same amount of money customizing each gun as I paid for them. I have other guns that shoot as good or better but I don't have any guns I like more. Those new Colts look nice. Maybe it's about time to add another member to the 1911 family.

Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

Very nice!!

The 1911 and 1911A1 were never 'my' guns in the service. I am waiting for one to fall into my lap in one of those once in a lifetime deals, but don't look beyond that. However, that is an awesome story on the purchase of those 1911A1's!! I'd probably break the sound barrier getting my wallet out if that deal ever popped up for me.

The Beretta has been it since day one for me, so one of those special military marked editions is the next gun to enter my stable. Especially since I seriously doubt uncle sugar is going to sell those off to the civilian sector if we ever switch to a new side arm.
