Lyman 160 grain bullet no.311672 silhouette

27 1/2 grains imr 4895, gas checked with 1 grain of polyester pillow fiber as filler. seated within case neck. pure linotype.

Lyman 'M" die used for neck expansion and flare.

Gun 1938 M70 Winchester rebarrled to .308, heavy barrel. Scope 6x24x40 Buschnell 4200 elite target scope.

That is what I am hoping to get out of my Mod 94 winnie 30-30. The best I have been able to do has been been 3 in with a 150 gr GC boolit, and 5 in with a 180 GC boolit

i use the rcbs sillhouete, 4/6 mix and aboutten more grains of powder.

that's a good group...but i would be hard pressed to claim this as the ultimate 308 load. 45nut and myself shot similar groups at a cast boolit shoot in winnie mucka several years back. the best i can figure is that is about 0.842...think nut shot smaller and i would have been about the same.

you should post this on the cast boolit load page, as it is a good load .
