Christmas was ok lots of goodies for the live in grands and a new pistol for Ms and a box of parts for me .

Boxing Day made us forget all about all the ribbons and bows.
We welcomed Nymera Rose my 6th granddaughter of 7 grands . She was a little impatient, she wasn't supposed to be here until 1/22 . All is well with mother and babe . Little Rose will be spending a few days in the ICN to ensure her lungs are up to par , always a concern the last 6 weeks .
17 . 7 in

My 1st was 6 weeks early the Dr said he would be likely slow and stunted .....at 6'1" and 175 with 135 IQ I'm actually glad he was slow and stunted I don't think I could have kept up with an Einstein the size of Andre the Giant.

Thanks guys ,
Mom is going to have to stay a few days, something about runaway blood pressure .
Rose is doing well and Dad has everything ready for the home coming .
She has a brother just a couple of years older just itching to meet her and a much older sister to help out .
I'm pretty proud of my kids . Thankfully they and the grands don't look like me :)

Mom is going to have to stay a few days, something about runaway blood pressure .

If she has any indications of cramps or blood clots in her calves/legs get her on some blood thinners quickly...when our oldest son was born my wife had blood pressure problems along with some "cramps" blood clots in her calves, a week later she had a CVA(a stroke) as the high blood pressure passed one of the clots up to her brain.

That was 23 years ago and my wife did make a very good recovery and hasn't had another stroke since but our second child was very high risk because of it and she runs a much higher risk of stroke as she gets older.

Stroke after pregnancy isn't as uncommon as you might think, the specialist at the time that diagnosed her(since most people don't associate stroke with a young healthy mother, our regular doctor was clueless) said it happens to about 1 in every 100,000 post-pregnancy. It has to do with the rapidly changing hormones, blood flow and clotting and the high stress/high blood pressure of the birth.

I'm not saying this to worry you but just so you can watch for it, the leg cramps/bloot clots are the primary indicators.

Congratulations on the newest grandchild.

She's in good hands . She's been through several meds . They have to go easy on the thinners as she is still leaking from birthing altough 1 may be the result of the other.

Harter66, One of the best kept secrets is how GREAT grandchildren are....spoil 'em and send 'em home.....if we would have known that secret....think we would have bypassed the kids and found some grandkids....

All kidding aside....congrats. You and your family is blessed....praise God for his miracle!

There's truly no sleep as peaceful and beautiful as that of a newborn. Congratulations and thanks for the story and photos. It's inspiring, and surely brings back fond memories.
