This one's not regulating quite as well as my Krag. I shot it with one powder charge(6g tightgroup) in two different bullets(32359 & 323471) at 25 yards. Left barrel shoots right and right barrel shoots left. Adjusting my hold off a bit I am able to get them to cluster as the four shot group shows.

I'll have to take it out to 100 maybe it's regulated for that distance? It was built up using cut off 8mm Mauser barrels on a Stoeger 12ga coach gun by a friend a number of years back.

This is 6 shots from the 30 40 Krag at 50 yards. It regulates beautifully.

The standard prescription for a double that crossfires is heavier bullets.

One bullet weight 125 the other 220. Both had similar point of impact

I had problems finding a suitable Bullet for my Martini rifle rebarreled to 32.40 using an 8mm Rolling Block Barrel.A friend supplied me with 200- 160 grain gas Checked Bullets .324 dia they are shooting good in both fixed and breach seated modes.Tried a similar bullet minus gas check and it did not perform so well so it would seem that the G C makes a difference. The Rifle :-The two larger rounds are 45.70 and 50.70 for comparison to the 32.40 rounds.http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s452/livebattery/32-40MartiniBlackPowderRifle004.jpg (http://s1052.photobucket.com/user/livebattery/media/32-40MartiniBlackPowderRifle004.jpg.html)

I'm bumping up the loads a bit next time.with a shotgun action pressures must be modest.
I figure a 200g or so bullet at 1200 is about pushing the 12000 cup limit I'd be comfortable with.

I see a blow tube? Are you using black powder?or is it a flexible breech seater to work in the martini?

Suggest that you have more latitude with pressure than 12KPSI. Regardless, black powder would be my best buddy if I was in your shoes.

I've thought about black in my Krag double as its a turn of the century action.

Your probably right with pressure due the small area of the case head compared to a 12ga.

I've got the poi difference hold off figured out. This is at 25 yards with the Lee 175 8mm bullets sans gc with 6g of tightgroup .there are 4 from each barrel.

Went to AA2015 and though the 18g charge left unburned kernels in the barrel and case it regulated at 25 yards much closer.I used a 210 plain base and a 175g gc.thus is 6 shots with only one low out of the group.it was 19 deg and slightly breezy and not the best day for shooting.
