Looking for information on the serialization of the above. Were they numbered with the model 94 winnies or do they have different numbers?

TIA

oneokie, IIRC the Sears version of the 94 cmae out sometime around 1960, give or take five years. By then Winchester 94 was above two million. If your number is in the millions, Sears must be in the same number series as Winchester.

I was once the proud owner of a Ted Williams M-54 rifle. Sad to say I let it go and can't help with the serial number biz. Try looking at the Gun Parts Corp book, I think there is s little info about that there, or maybe it was a Gun Digest a few years back. I'll look around.

Don't have a model 54 but do have a Ted Williams Model 100 with a Sears Roebuck nine diget serial number. I assume this is a number unique to sears. Question is what is the difference between a model 54 and a model 100? My 100 seems to be a Win. 94.

The Model 54 is the same as the Win 94. Two sources I have also say the Model 100 is the same as the NM 94.
The 23rd Edition of Blue Book has two listings for the Model 54, one says Model 54 is M94, and the other listing says the Model 54 is the NM94? Different years of production??
Duckiller, where on the rifle is the Model 100 stamped, and where is the 9 digit Sears # located?
The thing that struck me as odd is the number of screws located on the left side of the receiver. Any guesses as to what kind of attachments would have been available to mount on the left side?

What little I have turned up on search so far indicates that Ted Williams joined the Sears company in 1961, so a Sears Model 54 has to be before that, or it would have Teddy Ballgame's name on it. Maybe the 54 means 1954?

Stamping is on the left side of the barrel just in front of the reciever. Just found what may be a serial no. on the receiver. On the underside at the front just before the forend. One letter followed by five digits. Also found an SP in a oval on the top front of the receiver and a matching location on the barrel. I have no idea what sort of attachments may have been available but with 11 screws you should be able to mount most anything including a small house. One screw is for the lever pivot. Have no clue what or why for the other 10.

Just for kicks some day ;look through a Sears general catalog, "The Big Book", from anytime prior to around 1975 or so. You could get ANYTHING! For real fun go back pre- 1968 or look at the Farm catalogs. I grew up with Ted Williams and Sears. Good memories.
