Just used my Lee production pot IV for the first time and wow it's fast to cast a lot of boolits.
Going to need a whole lot more lead :)

I remember a ladle back in '75 and a plumbers furnace. Got a kick out of it at the time and my IV came not long after that. I do not remember the ladle all that fondly other than thinking there had to be a better way. Still using the IV's with the addition of numerous add-ons. Some disagree but my biggest "discovery" was on rifle bullets and finding I got my best bullets by hitting the center of the sprue hole which that up front spout made easier to do. And that in turn was helped by raising the mould closer to the spout and having a smooth floor so I can wiggle the mould a bit if needbe. Come to think of it there's a retired Prod. Pot in my shop and it didn't have 4" clearance or the smooth floor.

the only thing better is the one into one setup some people have. top pot feeds a lower one so lower is always at a consistent level and all sprews and ingots go into the top one to melt and come up to casting temperature so as not to cool your lower pot that your casting from.

Nice to see somebody paying attention to electrical loads. Love that subpanel!

Retired Journeyman Electrician.

Just for the naysayers--an inspector would take serious issue with working clearance on the subpanel---I just appreciate the up front thinking you did.

I give what is the wood box with the white and grey pvc next to your casting pot?

I'm guessing a fan with pipe to direct air flow. A real "box" fan.

There are so many cool ideas in that picture. Thanks!

There's about 18" open space between the electric panel and anything in front of it. The pots each have their own breakers which is likely overkill. Little box/pvc thing is a 12v LED to shine on the sprue hole.
