I guess not. I saw the powder then walked around for a couple of hours and stopped back to pick it up and it was still there. Some guys buying but not a bunch. May be the time of year.

Everything here in Michigan still seems to be about $28 per pound of powder, and $32 or more for primers. I really have to move out of this state.

$20 per pound on titegroup i bought 8 pounder. then uncle gave me 8 pounds of 4198. Powder stocks are looking better. Cost are definitely coming down around here. I am starting to stock pile more for the future as I know it will all happen again.

Pretty much the same here. What bothers me the most is no break for buying a jug of powder. Well I guess it's sort of a break. I paid $23.25 per pound of HP-38 instead of $24. I don't even bother looking at primers locally. Sale price is $35 per K. But these have always been the prices at the shops here. There are a few sellers at gun shows w/ better prices. But you never know it they're going to be there.

I stopped at a backwoods gun shop here in central MT. The fellow had some older IMR 4064 in the metal cans for $15.00 lb. He allowed me to open them for inspection, they smelled good and the granules were dark black. I bought one can and will load a few rounds. If the powder is good, I'll return to get a couple more. The can is thin and tall, with red background. Label has: DU PONT IMPROVED MILITARY POWDER , NUMBER 4064
Does anyone know the age/vintage of this podwer?

Sounds like 1950's vintage. My cans from the early sixties does not have the "improved military" designation.
