I have a 7th edition and I am specifically looking at the 55gr .224 soft point bullet with channelechure and H4895 in 223 Remington but the 7th edition only lists IMR4895

I only have H4895 to work with

does the 9th edition list H4895

the lee manual lists them both and sets the max at 26 gr but H4895 has a starting load of 25gr and IMR4895 a starting load of 23gr

the 7th Hornady lists IMR4895 with a max load of 25.1gr

thanks for looking

Hodgdon's web site lists 25g to 26g of H4895 w/ a SP 55g for the 223 Rem. I have the same Hornady book.

the 9th edition lists the same load you have stated. 25.1 IMR4895 max. no listing for H4895.
They do list the H4895 with the 55gr GMX bullet for 5.56mm Nato...same max load.

the 4th edition right in front of me has data for the imr powder but not the H-type.
IME h-type burns a tick faster than the I-type in the 22 cases.
my older Hodgdon manual [no-26 which shows data for Alliant powder types] shows 24-26 of the H-type with a 55gr SP.
