View Full Version : 210 gr. 10mm Cast Bullet Mold

Since Lee doesn't make a 210 gr. .401 bullet mold, I had to improvise. I used the Lee Double Cavity TL410-210-SWC .41 caliber mold and sized the bullets down to .401 with the Lee bullet sizing die. The bullets retain their weight, (3 bullets averaged 211 gr.), and it was not much harder to push the bullets through the die than a .401 cast bullet. I reapplied the Lee Liquid Alox after sizing and am waiting for that to dry to begin working up a load.

Yeah, that would work. I imagine not much of a lube groove left though. Plenty of good 200gr+ molds available but that does mean spending a bit.

What gun are you shooting these from? I've heard of keyholing/tumbling with heavy 40cals. I think Underwood makes a 220gr 10mm and if your twist isn't fast enough it won't stabilize. Or maybe that was in a Glock with polygonal rifling...I can't remember.
