are these too boolits too big for my bore

I have read that cast boolits should be .001 bigger than the bore. On my krag my bore slugs .308 and I am sizing to .311. is that too much? I want to start casting for my .32 rem. It slugs .321 and my mold I bought should be .324. is that too much? how much is too much and what would be the signs? could the rifle explode?

Make up dummy rounds and make sure they will chamber, if so use the starting load for your powder and work your way up.

You can check the inside diameter of a case fired from the gun. That will give you some insight as to how big a boolit you can use. My enfiellds fired cases gauge at .318. I size mine at .316 w/gc and get decent accuracy and no leading.

I use 324 in my 32 Winchester and 310 in my krag
I might could go 311 in some of my 30 cal rifles, but I don't have a 311 sizer.
I have 310 and 312 and 313 and 314 but no 311 for some reason.
so the 310 gets used for all my 30 cals.
except the 312 is used for my 30 carbine revolver with thinner 32-20 brass.
the 313 usually gets the call out for the argies and such. [shrug]
if you are having no problems chambering the round I wouldn't worry about it too much, you aren't expecting 1/2" groups from them anyway.

I have always used .311 for all .30 Cal rifles and handguns. I have not found one that didn't like it. As a general rule, I use .002 to .003 over groove diameter.

Had a 32 Rem it sizes .323 .

I believe the guidelines I was given was if it chambers it's ok . I had an 06 that was .299x306 at the muzzle but feeds a .314 ,although it shot best at 312 after lapping the muzzle end up to 300 x 308 .

I have a chamber that will accept 456 and a bbl that is 443x451 , 454 makes a great bridge size and shoots well.

I had an sks that would take a .320 from a Lee 323-175 also ,I guess it had a little bore wear.
