Please say a prayer for our daughter Laurie. Tomorrow she will have surgery to remove tumors from her brain. She had a bout with lung cancer a while ago and the cancer has returned. We are leaving today to go to Washington to be with her. Thank you all.

Prayers sent! I had a cancer scare 8 years ago and got lucky. Nerve sheath tumor in my left hip. The bad part about them is of you have one you have others and if it moves to my spine it could kill me. Mine was benign luckily!

I know how it feels to hear that a member of you family has a serious illness. About five years ago my wife got a call from our doctor informing her about some recent tests. She came into the living room and said, the doctor just told me I had cancer. She was immediately scheduled for surgery. With the surgeons hand and much prayer, plus six months of chemo she is cancer free. There have been many advances in the treatment of cancer in recent years so I will be praying for Laurie's complete recovery.

Gail and I have just returned from Washington. The surgery was successful, and according to the surgeon he thinks they got it all! There was a tumor of about 3/4" and they removed that. It was located in the region of the brain that houses the motor controls so we were/are concerned with possible after effects, but we just got news that she is up and walking so (fingers crossed) we are quite optimistic as to the degree of recovery. We thank all of you so much for your prayers and good wishes.
