i just started casting boolits and the driving end wont fill out i am useing lyman # 2 all the bands are filling out but the back of the boolet is still rounded i am useing lee mold for a 45 cal 250 grain any help....

Sounds to me like your mold's running cool

...or not venting properly. Read the Lee-menting sticky, especially the part about honing the top edge of the blocks. And try holding the mold tight against the spout till the cavity is full then pull it away to leave a sprue puddle.

I'll second the nomination on honing the top where the blocks fit together. Sounds like venting if the melt is hot enough./beagle

put a bit of melted lead on the sprue plat for a bunch of pours
will help heat it up, and make sure that your pour holes are centered into the base
of the boolit
