Got a bunch of the plastic ones that have "something" in them for weight.
Could this "something" be lead?

They're usually filled with some sort of cement aren't they? It would be hard to pour molten lead into plastic.

In my experience, the high-priced ones are made of steel, the cheap ones are concrete covered with plastic.

Could you use concrete to cast bullets?

the stuff I shot out of the 32 winchester special this weekend might as well been concrete.

I think Wapsupi was trying to sell off some old left over lube grooves early this year, maybe you could add the lube grooves to the concrete boolits and have some projectiles for an ASperly Aimless ?

Make sure you prep your mold well as it may be the last cast you get out of it. Gianni

I think its usually concrete as the others have said.

some of the Olympic style weights are high density rubber with brass inserts. these are expensive though.

Use fine sand and no gravel - polishes the bore up beautifully. About 50 shots to a rebarrel.

50 shots to a rebarrel----but look what you save on bullets.
