Looking around today getting ready to order a new Noe mold for the 357 ran across a guy that don't reload had a post asking if anyone loaded 357 he had a mold he wanted to get rid of. Sure I know someone how much you asking FREE 4 cavity well you can send me a 8 round 1911 mag. Yup send it tomorrow thanks bud! Question anyone use the same boolit in 454 and 45 lc with really good accuracy if so what is itplease.

The -429 is about as standard a 38/357 SWC boolit as there is - designed by Elmer himself. A 4-banger for free - and you didn't even need a mask & gun...

It'll shoot. If you check the C.O.L. in the Lyman load book for that bullet in a 357 mag. You'll notice your case mouth is up on the front band not the crimp grove. That length is to fit the short S&W revolver cylinders found in some models. Find your guns cylinder length then give yourself .050" or more clearance and load to that length. Simply light crimp into the front band if it's not in the grove. the bullet was designed for the 38 Special. It's by far my favorite in the 38 Special as you can shoot it about as fast as the 158's. No such fluke exist with a 357 magnum. But it's a thumper.

Thanks for the info he just shiped it this morning I have brass for both so should be good now to move on to rifle I started reloading about 15 years ago to save money on 25-06 shells looking back I don't think it was the smartest move I ever made. But on the bright side I have enough powder and primers to last for years cast my own boolits and have a 40x40 trap with 12" id deceleration chamber. Pour boolits load shoot melt pour boolits shoot............... now your talking this is gonna be a bad habit! Thanks guys I looked at this site for a couple years before I joined and started casting now I have another hobby I really enjoy!

I love It casting for 45acp 45lc 454 357 38 44 9 just need to learn the rifle now! I have a 311-332 I think is the number but heard bad reviews on the mold with under size nose mine comes out at. 299 so I have not tried any yet but could have been running it cold. Now I have the bottom pour I can keep it hotter just have not poured since getting it. Just found 8#s 4350 a set of Forster 243 die set and 3 boxes of noslers for 200 another deal!

.299" on a bore ride nose diameter isn't bad if you have a new bore true on at .300". That would actually be ideal as a .300 pin does not slide into a .300" bore without force. If you have 2% tin that dimension will grow over three months or so.
