I like my LEE 430-310-RF.
Would love something similar, but lighter, a big fat meplat 240-265gr flat point GasCheck

What do you recommend ?

Noe has several on his website. Here is a classic copy of the H&G 503 http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=1969

Lee used to make one that was a 255 gr SWC-PB (it drops with my alloy at 264 gr) but stopped making it apparently more than 20 years ago. It shoots beautifully in my 444 at an MV of 1250 and also shoots beautifully in my muzzleloaders with a sabot at an MV of 1700 fps. It has taken several deer and a couple elk from my muzzleloader. Maybe Lee can be convinced to do a small run with a group buy.

It depends on what you want it to do but, as suggested, the NOE 432-265 RD sounds like what you're after.
An aggressive alternative was suggested to AL (NOE) by offering a .432" version of the .411-251 WFN, using the same tooling to save time... That would render a WFN with a very large .351" meplat weighing around 275 grains.

Al has said he will render a drawing when time permits, and it could be run as an inventory item to save time.
Check it out if you're interested. Joining the conversation under "Group Buy Discussions" will help show support to move forward on it.
".44 Cal Mid-weight WFN, tooling in hand?" is the thread.

Been waiting for the 432-265 to get back in stock. That is my .44 bullet of choice.

If you can deal without the gas check you can just mill down the current Lee 300 grain offering. That would make a nice plain base at around 260 grains.
If you don't have the means it would be easy enough for a machine shop to set up and take a couple passes of for you.
I almost did that on a mould for a friend but we both decided the heavy weight was better for what he wanted to do with it.

I did do it to a lee 500 S&W mould. It made a nice lighter weight bullet for plinking.

I used the Lee 310 grainer for years. It went completely through everything I ever shot with it, and out the other side. In an effort to lesson recoil, and the resulting effects on point of impact when wearing gloves, I tried the 265 grain WFN design from ballisticast, and have stayed with it for the last 15 years with good success out to 100 yards. If you're into real long range six shooting' you might prefer the LFN style.http://www.ballisti-cast.com/boolits/boolits/prints/1443%2044%20CAL%20WFN%20GC%20300gr.pdf

I have two of Ranch Dog's molds for his RNFP in 240 and 265 grain. All 5 of my .44 Magnums shoot these quite well. I've cast some pretty soft, and some fairly hard but none lead the barrel(s), and are pretty accurate. I don't load to max. levels and I'm confident my loads will take most game in US cleanly...

I'd look at having LBT make your mold

I like the 432-265 in the 7.5 inch redhawk but the 629 likes a 250kt just depends on what your trying to do both of mine are loaded rather warm and plain base but no leading with Felix lube

LBT has exactly what your looking for 250, 280 and 300g molds.

LBT or NOE all the way. That is if you like shooting a lot.

I'm fond of both of these in my .445, I'm sure they will work wonderful in your .44 as well.

Accurate Molds, 43-265V, done. Tweak it if you like to have it anyway you want. If you don't want to spend the $$, just have the gc milled off your Lee mold, that will be close to 270gr.

I have the Lee 310 which has had the gas check shank milled off and boolits cast from ww+1%tin weigh 267g. Interestingly, I also have a Ranch Dog 265 gas checked boolit, and it weighs 270g with the gas check installed from the same alloy. I shoot lots of the modified Lee's from my revolvers, because in my opinion, no gas check is needed for revolver velocities up to 1300fps or maybe higher. However, I do use the Ranch Dog gas checked 270g for 2150fps velocities in my .444 Marlin.

I just this morning ordered a four-cavity #43-240K from Tom at Accurate Molds. It's a plain based design, but he has gas checked designs too.
