Saw this guy moving through the thick stuff about 90 yards he stopped about 75 yards out and I gave him a grunt. He did a 90 degree turn and came my way. I blatted at him to stop him at 45-50 yards in an open spot. Shot went in high on right shoulder and exited middle of left ribs. Double lung hit. He piled up just behind my stand. 265 gr,

Good work! How fast is that boolit moving? 1200-1300 fps?

Nice shooting, it's fun getting them into revolver / bow range isn't it? I'd like to see more pics of the wheel gun.

It is a box stock Bisley hunter model that I traded for used. I have a Bowen sight I am going to put on it. Maybe someday I will put prettier grips on her. That is the third deer with that gun. I rotate .44's each year. Last year I used the .44 Bisley (blued) that Mrs. Thumbcocker got me for an engagement present in 1990. Never chronoed the load but would swag it around 1300+. The gun is just scary accurate and doesn't lead at all with this combination.

Nice shot and deer!

Sounds like you made it all come together even though it was a tough shot. Good job.
