I was using some spray rust preventer, CRC SP-400, today when I noticed how similar to Lee Alox it seems. It looks like it and smell just the same. It sprays on and after the fast evaporating solvent is gone it dries to a coating just like bullets that have been tumble lubed. Has any one else used this spray before and if so have you ever tried it on boolits?

What is the stuff used for? We have several stores around that sell CRC products, and now my interest is up enough for me to want to check it out. If it for rust proofing, it is almost undoubtedly alox.

Duckdog,

We use this CRC SP-400 as a corrosion preventer on the ship I work on. When I get off the boat I will try and find some of this spray locally to lube up some boolits and see how they work. I would like to find out if it really is ALOX, if this works it would the fastest way to lube bullets. Let know if you get a chance to try it out.
