On the way out of the woods today, I got close to 2 linx, maybe 50 or 60 feet, but got a good look at them.
1 Appeared to be full grown, while the other was maybe 3/4, or I guess it maybe it could have been a male and a female, not sure if they have much of a size difference.

I don't know why, but I love seeing them, especially when it is more than just a fleeting glance.

That must have been fun to see. I always enjoy "stumbling" on to something like that . . . animals out in nature where you have a chance to watch them and how they act. A person really needs to take the time to be out in nature and just "smell the roses" and watch. . . it reminds you that we all were put on this earth for a reason and we all have our place in it.

I am not a fan of coming across wild cats. They are to smart and dangerous. I do my best to get out of the area if I come across signs if one was there recently.

I would worry more about someones house cat than I would a linx. I am certainly no authority on them, but have come across several, and they have always peeled out of there as soon as they realize you are there.
I do know they are completly meek, when caught in a trap, is seems like they do not even try to get out.

Saw a cousin of the Lynx a few years back on the North Rim of the GC. Had time to swap out lenses on the camera and got a close-in shot.

Cool animals, and this one was gnawing on a kill of some sort...probably an Abert.
