How does the board feel about a special section for 22's? We talk about pretty much everything else here, how about 22's? Just a thought.

The Board has expanded into a few areas that I, at the present time, have little interest in. Which is fine, to each his own.

A forum on .22's would be something I could relate to however.

22 rimfire or the reloadable kind for which we can cast bullets?

Bret4207

Rimfire. The other kind is covered. Maybe it should be a "Non Cast" section?

I like the idea of a rimfire section.

I like the " Non Cast" section. We all shoot other than cast sometimes.

A good idea!

Much can( and has) been learned from the rimfire's we all play with.

I'm still pretty new around here but if you look at a "22LR" it's a brass case with a lubed pure lead projectile, what's not to like?

I'm saying yes as well!:coffee:

Non cast is what the Reloaders Guide forum is dedicated to, maybe we could convert the general forum to rimfires? Or are you after just a small slice here?

I think small round small slice.

If it doesn't work out it can be deleted.

I'm thinking someplace we can talk either 22rf or non-cast. We cover a lot of everything else here. Factory rifles doesn't really cover it. I suppose we could restrict it to Off Topic if you object. I'm not after a slice of anything. It just seems this place is growing by leaps and bounds and it's time we considered it.

Leaps and bounds, for sure! Great, huh? MAYBE, and it's up to Ken to decide, we should consider: 1. .22 rimfires, AND 2. Non-cast, in their own 'sections'? I think it would make it easier to navigate. Problem with 'Non-cast': would we then have to sub-divide again into handguns and rifles? And where do you file .22WMR? .17HMR? Just my $0.02.

Swaged bullets aren't cast either, yet we have a section devoted to them. I think it's worth a try, especially since our club's .22 Matches begin on May 18. [Bret, if you're reading this, you are hereby invited to attend! The club is in Stone Ridge and the "festivities" start at 10 AM.]

I only visit six of the current sections available. Adding another would just be one more for me to disregard, unless there is something to discuss.

In a .22 rimfire section, I don't know what there would be to talk about. We don't cast the bullets, or reload the ammunition.
You buy a gun, buy some ammo, and go shoot. If you're picky, you try different brands of shells to see what works best in that gun.

What's to talk about?

i think we need a ATV section and a bow hunting section then a sub section on ATVs with winches and a sub section for bows that are recurves and one for compounds and another for fixed brod heads and another sub section for ATVs with tire chains............we don't need a "special" forum for .22s either

Just a thought, never mind.
